Regular beauty repurchases!
What can I not be without?

When it comes to beauty, it’s no secret that I love trying new things. The launches are always coming thick and fast. Still, the real test for me is whether I actually repurchase something once it’s empty, whether it’s been a PR sample or something I originally bought myself.
I’ve been reviewing products for 15 years, and over those years, only the best of the best make it into my “must have” pile. They’re the products I miss when they’re gone and the ones I trust to always deliver. So, let’s have the chats about some of my most-repurchased beauty bits!
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
This is the product that inspired this post! If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know I recently had a reaction to a product or two, and I’m currently helping my skin recover.
I’ve got sensitive, reactive skin, and sure we might as well blame perimenopause on the increase in the sensitivity and reactivity in recent years! I can react to new products and products I’ve been using for months, even years. There’s not always rhyme or reason to it. And because of that, I always have a tube of Cicaplast on hand to help keep my skin soothed during a reaction.
With ingredients including soothing Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), prebiotic Tribioma and repairing Madecassoside, this must-have helps to repair the skin’s barrier function and gives the skin the perfect environment to heal itself. It has so many uses and can be used by everyone, babies included. If I’ve a little patch of dermatitis, a scrape from being out in the garden, if my lips are super dry, if my skin feels dry and tight, this does the job beautifully.
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF50
An SPF that’s as lightweight and hydrating as a moisturiser and gives SPF50 protection? Yes please! Since I bought my original tube of this sunscreen last year, I’ve gone through countless bottles of it, regularly repurchasing it for myself and for others. I’ve tried other SPFs since buying the first tube, and yet I always come back to this. People often ask me what the best sunscreen is, and I remember reading that the best sunscreen is the one you want to wear every day. And that’s where this comes in. It doesn’t sting my eyes, sits really well under makeup, has a lightweight texture, and provides lots of hydration without irritating my skin.
Aveeno Shampoo & Conditioner
I worked with Aveeno on the launch of their shampoo and conditioners last year. Since then, I’ve continued to repurchase my favourite ones that suit my hair type. The whole range is made with colloidal oats and is clinically proven to help relieve itchy, dry scalps. During the colder months, when we tend to use hotter water in the shower, this can dry out the scalp, causing it to become dry and tight. So this looks after the scalp, just as much as the hair.
I love the Clarify and Shine Apple Cider Vinegar Blend shampoo and conditioner, which is aimed at those who have product build-up in their hair. I don’t use much product in my hair; however, this range cleanses my oily roots like nothing else I’ve tried, and I can get away with not having to wash my hair for a good 3 days, which is unheard of for me!
I also love the Volumising & Fresh Greens Bend shampoo and conditioner, which, as the name suggests, helps to give volume to my pancake-flat hair! With a blend of cucumber water, rosemary oil and peppermint extract, it smells lovely and helps my hair to feel light, soft, bouncy and shiny.
They’ve six sets of shampoos and conditioners within the range, so there’s something for all hair types!
Armani Beauty Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow – shade 22M
Use code LFTFLOVELYGIRLIEBITS for 20% off
Now I’ve only repurchased this once, but I know for a fact that I’ll continue to repurchase this in the future, because this is my perfect eyeshadow shade. Not too cool, not too warm, it’s just right. It’s my ideal one-and-done shade that makes my eyes look even greener, and here’s the clincher – with my notoriously oily eyelids that have always had to be primed, nary a primer goes near my lids when I use this product!
It blends like a dream and sets on my lids, becoming bulletproof. And despite its long-wear nature, it doesn’t dry out my lids. This stays put for ages without creasing on me, and I love that I can apply a sheer layer for a light wash of colour over my eyes, or build it up for more intensity. Yes, it’s expensive, but I’ve yet to find a dupe that ticks all of the boxes the way this one does!
Sculpted by Aimee HydraTint – shade 2.75
I feel like I’ve been waffling on about Sculpted’s HydraTint since it first launched, and I’ll continue to do so, because it’s just the perfect lightweight base! I don’t really wear full coverage foundations much anymore, and on a day-to-day basis, this type of finish is what I reach for. We’re talking light coverage that can be built up to medium coverage, giving a glowy finish with skincare ingredients including hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica water and ceramides. So not only are you getting lovely, light coverage, but you’re getting the added benefits of those ingredients. And I’m all about adding in as many ingredients as possible when it comes to beauty!
This comes in 20 shades, and 2.75 is my usual go-to shade for everyday wear.

August beauty favourites
Ah, we've made it to September in one piece… Mostly anyway! The days are getting shorter, and I think the heatwaves are over (I'm totally ok with that). We're all getting ready for cosy vibes as we head into autumn, and I wanted to share some lovely new products I've been testing out recently. And I already know that they'll continue to be in rotation i…

Love this! That Armani eyeshadow is my list, always sold out in duty free. Think I'll have to buy it online especially with the 20% code. Keep doing what you do Karen! Xxx
